Our Honeymoon
we spent the weekend after our wedding scraping popcorn ceiling! So ROMANTIC
Back to real life...
Who knew it would be such a difficult transition? Garry and I had spent every moment together the week before the wedding. Planning, prepping and playing were the name of the game and we were having fun! I love my work and I love my life and I'm so proud of Garry for being so diligent in his classes but I wanted him back! Full Time! The sick thing about it is that because of this we fought about stupid little things. Now we are getting our schedule together and I'm getting used to riding the scooter everywhere and life is good. I have been trying out some new things that I envision a "good wife" doing such as... baking home made cookies! I made some oatmeal raisin cookies wearing a fancy dress, stilletos, full make-up and an apron. The cookies apparently turned out well but I think it was a little much. I'm gonna take it a step back and experiment in the kitchen a bit more but there is no need for the pomp and circumstance. Next step... I have to change my name. I never thought I would have any issues with this, after all it is only a name but it has conjured more feelings than I thought it would. I have to really think about things before I write my own NAME! I have to remember that after 25 years I'm dropping the old one and getting a new one. It's strange, I kinda feel like I chose to hop into a new family. Ditching mine. I'll do it, I just never thought it would be hard.

We got hitched!

The lowdown on this:
I met Don Atherton, our photographer at Casa Romantica to show him all of the hots spots I wanted to have pictures done. Of course when I got there my nerves were high so I was pretty much useless. At one I met my favorite make-up artist Ashley for some spackle and shimmer. My little sister Bits was there to curl and spray my hair into long lasting curly and not too crunchy wedding day curls. Thanks Bits and Ash. I patiently waited while the photographers shot some special pics of my dress without me in it!! Mom hurried in and got ready in a flash after spending days and all day that day trying to complete all of the tasks I laid out for her over the past few months. Then it was time to start the photo shoots. I had to ask the photographers to turn their attention elsewhere while I slipped on my dress. No nudie cutie shots PLEASE. Mom put on my garter while I sent Brooke to see if Uncle Garry had remembered the rings. Everyone gasped in shock! You left the rings in the hands of the GROOM? I totally trusted G to bring them.. little did I know that big G had to run back and open our safe to get them!! Livie finished up the flowers for everyone. My bouquet of lilies had not quite opened yet so I spent a little time prying them open. Then it was time to walk down the aisle. For photo's sake I walked down the hallway a few times and stopped every few feet for another pic! We sent Brooke down the aisle to stand by daddy who was waiting to marry us. As dad and I stood in the beautiful arched doorway I could see Ambrie and baby Shaeffer waving at me wishing me good luck. I needed it. I lectured Dad to walk slow and steady. Of course halfway down the aisle Dad tells me that I'm running! Mrs. Cheryl Stone poked her head out of the crowd to say, "Hi Camille," and that started to put me at ease. Scott did an amazing job conducting everything and carrying out his new role as reverend Scotty Krufal. Big G said an opening prayer, mom read a scripture, Vickey read a poem and Grandpa Conrad blessed our union to wrap up the ceremony. As we turned, Garry and I had not practiced what to do next so I dragged him away saying... RUN! It was amazing to see how many people turned out to share our amazing day with us! The weather that day was nothing short of spectacular. We are so lucky. We shot about a million pictures and we were off to the reception! We hopped in the Tate's big van we used to shuttle people from the Casa parking to the Krufal's house and got there just in time to sneak some food before the photographers showed up. We served Grandma's amazing stuffed shells, Aunt Melinda's yummy white pasta, Meatballs, garlic knots, Tressa's family recipe punch and some tasty veggies. Grandma made the delish cake with little pink birdies on top! It was a great night. Don set up a photo booth on the front porch and that was the hit of the night! Everyone got up there and posed all night long. Jared's date Maggie caught the bouquet and Joseph caught the garter. Everyone lined up at the end of the night and blew bubbles as we got in our fully decorated car, thanks to Tress and Vickey and some helpers. As we headed home Garry decided to stop off and adjust some of the stuff on the car... or so I thought! Vickey got us a room at the Beach Comber where we slept to the sound of the ocean crashing right outside our window. At the end of the day I can say it was simple and lovely, just how I wanted it. The best part of it all is that I get to spend the rest of my life with someone who I truly respect and love and I cannot wait to see what our future has in store! I dont have many pictures, Don said another week or so. I'll post what I have.
